Art Sales Consultant

About Us

JG Art Gallery is a small, community-focused gallery representing regional artists. We’re looking for a friendly, motivated addition to our tight-knit team who genuinely loves art and enjoys connecting with people.

Hours: 15–20 hours/week (schedule to be discussed, includes weekends)

What You’ll Do

• Welcome and assist visitors, sharing knowledge about featured artists and current exhibitions

• Support sales — helping customers find pieces they’ll love, processing transactions

• Help pack, hang, and display artwork for exhibitions and sales

• Keep the gallery looking its best (light housekeeping, tidying displays)

• Pitch in wherever needed — this is a small team, so the role is varied day to day

What We’re Looking For

• A genuine passion for art and interest in supporting local artists

• Comfortable with computers (POS systems, email, basic office software)

• Customer service experience

• Sales experience a plus, but not required

• Someone motivated and able to work independently, but also a strong team player

• Physically able to lift and move artwork/display materials

• Reliable, detail-oriented, and personable
