The HISTORIC LYNWOOD THEATRE has been entertaining Island audiences since 1936. Mostly movies, first run, classics and Independent productions, but in recent years a shift to alternative options, including music, comedy, rallies and local presentations, all contributing to the community event center it now celebrates. It is especially proud to offer local musicians an opportunity to share their art with an appreciative audience. Saturday night, October 3, DANNY & THE FIG ATONES return to the stage bringing a cool, sophisticated, balanced blend of Soul, Funk, Jazz and Gospel to the stage. Drawing from the deep well of Parliament-Funkadelic, Sly Stone, and the sacred steel gospel tradition. A seven-piece band locked tight in the pocket—horns blazing, guitars weaving, rhythm section driving—and you get a sound that's impossible to sit still through.Every show is different.
