The Bainbridge Chorale presents Life: A Journey through Song, a celebration of life’s transitions: the joys and wisdom, as well as heartaches and struggles, with pieces ranging from catchy and upbeat to richly contemplative.
The Bainbridge Chorale spring concert, Life: A Journey through Song, is a celebration of life’s transitions. Inspired by Shakespeare’s famous speech, “All the World’s a Stage” from As You Like It, the works portray the seven stages of life, reflecting on the joys, heartaches, struggles, and wisdom each stage brings. From the innocence of childhood to the contemplative years of aging, the music selection features a blend of pieces — modern hits, timeless classics, and choral arrangements that span the emotional spectrum. These pieces are selected to capture various life experiences, with a mix of upbeat, introspective, and emotional moments.
Performances are at Rolling Bay Presbyterian Church on Saturday, May 4 at 7 pm and Sunday, May 5 at 3 pm. The Family Concert Spring 2025, a shorter version of the full-length concert, including some of the same repertoire and featuring additional songs by the Bainbridge Youth Choir singers, is on Saturday, May 4 at 3 pm.
