Festival attendees can look forward to live music, delicious food, artist demonstrations, and hands-on opportunities to learn about a variety of fiber arts and textile techniques. Whether you’re an experienced maker, a quilting enthusiast, or simply curious about fiber arts, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

We are gathering handmade pennants crafted by members of the community that will be connected and displayed throughout Winslow Way as part of the celebration.
14th Annual Quilt Festival
This year, Creative Thread Fest is especially exciting as we are collaborating with the Modern Quilt Guild’s Annual Quilt Festival, taking place just across the street. Visitors can enjoy two outstanding events in one day – exploring innovative textile arts, handcrafted creations, and interactive experiences at Creative Thread Fest while also viewing the remarkable quilts and artistry showcased by the Modern Quilt Guild.
Make A Custom Tote Bags
Purchase and customize a personal project tote or pouch! Start with a custom-printed Creative Threads project tote or pouch bag (available for purchase on the day of the festival).Guests can then add their own personality with a curated selection of iron-on patches. Mix, match, and create a one-of-a-kind bag that’s uniquely you.

In conjunction with the Bainbridge Creative District’s September 12th Creative Thread Festival and the Annual Quilt Festival, Bainbridge Arts & Crafts is hosting an exhibit of small quilts by members of the Bainbridge Island Modern Quilt Guild. Stop by BAC from September 4 – 20.

Bainbridge Quilt Festival
The Creative Thread Festival is happening in conjunction with the annual Bainbridge Quilt Festival. The Bainbridge Island Modern Quilt Guild will display their quilts on the Winslow Green. The Creative Thread Fest will be located across the street in the Eagle Harbor Congregational Church Parking Lot.

BARN Fiber Artist at BAC
As part of the Bainbridge Creative District’s CREATIVE THREAD events, Bainbridge Arts & Crafts is hosting an exhibit through September in its retail area of works by Bainbridge Artisan Resource Network (BARN) Fiber Arts Studio artists. Learn about the many types of fiber and textile art – and the craftsmanship behind them! There is also a wall display on the history of fiber art through the ages. Participating BARN Fiber Arts Studio artists are: Sara Bantle, Heather Griffin, Katy Levit, Danielle Mariani, Alexandria McKeon, Asha Rehnberg, and Naomi Spinak. Most pieces are for sale.
